The Bedroom Makeover

Our youngest son Eric moved to a dorm this semester, and I was finally able to get into his room and do something with it. It has been driving me crazy! It needed everything, paint, new furniture, etc. I had Rick make a wall of built in bookshelves, and he did a great job. We also bought an antique bed.

I can't accessorize the room - it is Eric's for as long as he needs it. And I don't think he wants my choice of gee-gaws all over his room.  But I feel a little better.  Now if I can just have him keep it clean!

Hi Cindy! You always post such sweet comments on my blog, and I wanted to thank you for that. They mean so very much. I am giggling at this post as it seems we both are in the make over process of our childrens old rooms. How wonderful the bookcases are. I am so fascinated by your garden book. What a great idea! I have saved photos of flowers grown in my yard for several years now wanting something special to do with them. I had never thought to scrapbook them. You have such a warm and inviting place to be here, and I look forward to future posts! Elizabeth

Afternoon friend....
Well Cindy, it looks like you and hubby have been having fun...decorating, doesn't get much better than that, IF in the mood.
As you have seen I'm always putting and placing here. Can't help myself.
I love your furniture..wow, it's lovely. And, I'm sure you made the beautiful quilt. Good going! Loved the bear info...don't think we'll be pulling the RV...I'm about indoor lodging when bears are around. Ha. I do appreciate the heads up.
Been playing all day, now it's laundry time. Grrrrrrr later... xoso Sandy O

Cindy, it is shaping up beautifully! I love the bed and that dresser is gorgeous! I don't think he'd mind a few gee-gaws. Have a nice day! Twyla

Cindy, Thank you so much for visiting and posting on my blog. It is so nice to have new friends and places to visit. It also inspires me to blog more often. I think we have a lot in common -- crafting , gardening, and swapping. I'm inspired to try some quilting. We have a wonderful shop on Cape Cod that has the most beautiful fabrics. I'm trying to finish up some old projects, then I'll take a class in quilting. I love taking classes! I've been lucky enough to take classes with Tim Holtz, Donny Downey, Linda and Julie from Amuse Art stamps, and wonderful local artists. I love checking out blogs; we have many of the same favorite. I'll be visiting often.

I have been to the flower fields in Carlsbad. I would love to go back. We are about an hour north.

Hi Cindy..OMGosh the snow was gone today...my little snowmen melted into ice cubes this morning....now it's lovely blue sky and normal nice weather...so weird. The snow was a blink of the eye. We live below San Francisco about 1 1/2 hours and up from Carmel by the Sea about 40 minutes. If that helps. Check out my new blog header....Mr. Expert helped me fix it...I went around and took pics of the things I loved...guess it's all about dogs, huh? I'm so happy with it...so grown up looking.... hope I leave well enough alone. Have a great night...we are watching the Oscars. xoso Sandy O
