Vintage Finds

On Sunday we met up with Andrew, Alison, and Tad at one of our favorite antique malls. While we walked around holding and cuddling the baby, we found a few things to bring home.

I was intrigued by this old booklet. It was full of labels of different fruit. We thought maybe it was for labeling preserves for sale at church bazaars.

I also found another Eloise Wilkin Little Golden Book.

I got some plain hemmed linens for doing my own embroidery and a tiny tomato pincushion. But my favorite find was this doll crib. I know it's weird that I bought it, but I love the look of it and I have a child's ironing board and iron. Thought they might look nice together. I could fill the crib with old linens and quilts.

And it was only $15.00! I'll show it again when I make a "mattress" for it and have it with goodies.
Have a great day!

I'm totally addicted to doll beds. I can easily see why this little sweetie came home with you. I shouldn't even admit how many I own.

I love the sweet doll crib and Golden book! I have a doll collection so I like to find things for my dolls, too! Pretty small quilts would look nice in the little crib, too! ♥

I believe I like your blog!:) I know I liked your comment on Susan Branch's blog about the President coming by. You and I would have to draw straws for a front row seat.:)

Hi Mary, I have de-ja-vous reading this post as I think I have seen these very items you have brought home! As I type I am calling down to my husband about your vacation to Holland, MI. Not too far away at all for me, and boy would I love to see those 1930's houses! In your photo of quilting your lovely piece, I see a yo-yp pillow in the background that looks about my skill level. I will definitely be giving one of those a try.
Always inspiring here! Have a lovely Sunday. Elizabeth

You found some really nice things! The crib is cute and I think will be perfect with your ironing board and iron. It would be cute if you could find a vintage child's kitchen.
