After several very cold and rainy days (my days off ) we finally got one of those spring days you look forward to. Calm, warm, and sunny. It was a perfect day to work in the gardens. So we were out there the whole day, transplanting, mulching, and weeding. There is still so much to do, like putting straw on the strawberry bed, planting the veggie garden, and planting out annuals and new perennials.
I went to the garden center on Friday, just to see what they had out. And as I got out of the car, it started sleeting! Needless to say, I didn't buy any plants that day.
The chicks are in that awkward adolescent stage. Not as cute as they were, but we enjoy them anyway. Soon we will try them out in the hen house and see how everyone gets along.
I hope everyone has a good week, and maybe a perfect spring day to be outside.

Really pretty garden. I love the little chicks. Wish I could have a couple hens, but living in the city it's a no no.
Hopefully your spring will hurry and arrive before summer starts in.

Your garden is so beautiful!!! I don't know where you find the time to take care of ALL of it. It took us several hours this weekend just to weed, trim and edge the front and one side of the house. (And we just have a normal yard, not an acreage.) My arms are covered in scratches from the rose bushes, because I was silly and didn't wear long sleeves. Why oh why didn't I plant Zephirine Drouhin roses instead? The rest of the yard will have to wait til next weekend, so I hope the weather cooperates with us again.

Cindy....lovely flowers. Your chicks are the same size as mine!!! Have fun with them as they grow....until that big day when they start to leave you yummy eggs.

Oh your chicks are growing! Lovely blossoms. It has been the same here in Texas. One day it was 94 degrees and I got sunburned, the very next day it dipped down to 37. LOL
