That's what we said when we returned home from our vacation and saw the yard. We couldn't believe how much things had grown in only 8 days. But with all the rain and warm weather, everything (especially the weeds:) had rocketed up. I have spent the last week getting caught up and still haven't finished all the gardens. It has turned very hot and humid and I just can't handle working in it too long at a time.
So this was where we spent our little holiday - Siesta Key, Florida. Really the most beautiful beach we have ever been to. Add to that the perfect weather, condo, and food and we were in heaven!
The water was so clear and warm. |
We waded into a tidal mudflat to see horseshoe crabs and other cool things. |
Saying goodby to our beach :( |

Your vacation sounds perfectly wonderful and relaxing! The white sand beach looks so inviting to me right now! Love the beautiful scenery and the wildlife photos. The stitchery is very sweet. I know what you mean about the garden - I didn't go on vacation and mine is still wild - we have had so much rain. Hope that relaxing feeling stays with you for a while - getting back to 'normal' is always a transition.

I love all your photos of your vacation. It looks like you had so much fun, lots of adventure and that water, so clear. Thanks so much for sharing.
Hugs,

It is amazing how much nature can do in a week, isn't it, Cindy?
Florida beaches are the most beautiful in the world, in my opinion, and you sure did pick a lovely spot for a vacation - I need to do this, too - it's been years since I've visited Florida.
Love the embroidery project. I think a pillow sounds delightful! xo
I enjoyed the picture show very much.
Looks like a great place for a relaxing vacation.
The stitchery design is very pretty.
Looking forward to seeing more and what it will turn into.
